About this service

Midjourney publishes no status page and offers no public API we could test, so for it we rely on user reports. If your jobs hang, the announcements channel on Midjourney's Discord is the fastest official source.

Midjourney: common questions

What should I do if Midjourney isn't generating images?

See whether your jobs are queued or failed: queued jobs usually finish once the load drops. Make sure you still have fast hours left, because relaxed mode can wait a long time at peak hours. If many people report problems here at the same moment, the issue is on Midjourney's side.

Why is Midjourney so slow in the evening?

Image generation runs on shared GPU pools, and evenings in Europe and the US are the busiest time. Slow jobs then are normal; jobs that end with an error are not.

Why does it work for others but not for me?

Moderation filters, subscription status and payment problems block single accounts while everybody else carries on. Check your account page and try a plain, neutral test prompt.

How do you know whether Midjourney is down?

For Midjourney we combine reports from people who press the button on this page. The most serious signal that is still fresh sets the verdict, and stale sources are ignored rather than trusted. The page refreshes by itself; the exact thresholds are on our “How we check” page.
